Rimmel’s “Steel Grey”
It’s a grey 2nd of January where I live, so when I got up this morning, I thought, welp, might as well make the most of it! My favorite grey nail polish is Rimmel’s Lasting Finish Pro in Steel Grey. It’s a rich creamy shade of cool grey that goes on well with two coats and lasts almost as long as the line’s tag-phrase suggests: “Up To 10 Days.”
Knit ALL THE ROWS!
I got the idea to match my nail polish to the weather from a recent knitting project that’s been circulating the interwebs. Basically, the project entails knitting one row of a blanket each day according to the weather for an entire year. I’m not going to paint my nails each day this year, but I appreciate the inspiration!
For my accent nail, I tried out Wet ‘n Wild’s new “Spoiled” line of polishes. I saw these on an end cap in my local CVS. At first, I didn’t even realize they were Wet n’ Wild, but I grabbed one teal shade and this glitter, “Trust Fund Baby.” It took three coats to get my nail rolling in glitter, even though the bottle looks packed with blang. It did dry nicely, though, under my favorite dry fast top coat. Wet ‘n Wild polishes have, in the past couple of years, become some of the best formulated, inexpensive drugstore polishes available. The jury’s still out on these Spoiled kids, though. I’ll try out the teal shade before I really review them.
